"When She Planted Her Tulips Near My Cornstalk" By Alexander The Poet 08.18.06
I was outside working in my garden,
Tending to my quite gigantic cornstalk
Then it somehow abruptly did harden,
When I noticed a girl, from afar, walk!
She was carrying some lovely tulips,
And they were ripe and smelled so very fresh
Like Helen of Troy, she could send off ships,
At the sight of her soft young tender flesh!
I asked what reason had brought her to me,
She said, a place for her tulips to plant
Near my cornstalk, she said, would look pretty,
I agreed, and permission I did grant!
On her knees the girl did slowly proceed,
And planted her tulips, near my cornstalk
And due to there being so many weeds,
It made it truly hard, for her to talk!
