This poem doesn't imply the end for the snake, but rather, a tribute.
And nostalgia doesn't mean he's old. By definition, it means, a longing
for the past, which in most cases, signifies good times.
And it's focusing on his career in WWF/WWE, in which to my knowledge,
he never became a champ.

"Ode To Jake The Snake Roberts" By Alexander The Poet 03.16.07
From the valleys of Stone Mountain, Georgia,
Inside the ring, slithered a cold, dark, snake
And today, he is somewhat nostalgia,
For back then, the wrestling world he did shake!
He would come to the ring with a python,
Then deliver his foe, the ddt
And he'd also give promos like no one,
Most of them ended with the words, Trust Me!
His skills and knowledge helped many wrestlers,
Raven, Austin, Taker, to name a few
He was also a storyline writer,
And his angles, were memorable too!
Every babyface and heel turn, he sold,
I'd always love to watch him on tv
And although he never got to win gold,
Jake The Snake Roberts, is a champ to me!
